As a part of the cooperation between BSU and NEU, every year, BSU sends a delegation of students from the EMBA program to NEU to carry out a business project in Vietnam. During the execution of this project, students from ISME are selected to welcome and assist the delegation as Project Assistants. They will support BSU students in doing market research, finding and contacting partners, and developing business projects during their time in Vietnam.

During their visit to NEU, the delegation of BSU specifically arranged time to meet and discuss various topics in the business field to exchange knowledge and culture with students from ISME in general and students from Bachelor of Business Administration in Entrepreneurship Management (BBAE) particularly.

The Boise State University delegation included Dr. Nancy K. Napier – Advisor of the EMBA Program, Mr. Brian O’Morrow – Executive Director of the EMBA Program, and Dr. Timothy Dunne – Executive Advisor of the EMBA Program. From the National Economics University (NEU), the representatives were Dr. Trinh Thi Thu Giang, Vice Principal of ISME, as well as management staff, heads of programs, and faculty members of the university.

At the beginning of the discussion, Dr. Trinh Thi Thu Giang, Vice Principal of ISME, expressed her appreciation and great pleasure in welcoming the BSU delegation and EMBA students as well as having them spend time discussing and exchanging cultural knowledge with ISME students. Dr. Trinh Thi Thu Giang shared: “We are very honored to welcome the BSU delegates and EMBA students to NEU. Your presence here not only reflects the sustainable cooperative spirit between BSU and NEU but also opens up valuable opportunities for ISME students to enhance their international experiences and expand their knowledge. We would like to give a special thanks to BSU for your dedication and effort in motivating cultural exchange globally and bringing opportunities to students from both schools to improve their specialized knowledge through realistic business projects in Vietnam and the exchange of culture between Vietnam and the US.”

Dr. Trinh Thi Thu Giang expressed joy and appreciation in welcoming the EMBA delegation

Following up, Dr. Nancy K. Napier, Advisor of the EMBA Program at BSU re-affirmed the solid cooperation between NEU and BSU over the years in her speech: “The strong partnership between BSU and NEU is the foundation for growth in not only academic aspects but also in asserting values, capabilities, and courage of students from both schools. This is also the reason why EMBA students of BSU did not hesitate to visit Vietnam to develop their business project in a new market and have ISME students accompanying them as Project Assistants. Moreover, the willingness of students from both schools to exchange cultures and learn from each other will create new values and diverse experiences throughout the cooperation. I wish you all a wonderful time working together during our time in Vietnam. Thank you!”

Dr. Nancy K. Napier shared her thoughts on the solid cooperation between NEU and BSU throughout the years

The EMBA students from BSU are senior managers and CEOs with many years of experience working in their business fields. This is a great occasion for students of ISME to expand their knowledge and work on practical business projects with these experienced managers.

The meeting between students from both schools was very lively, which helped both sides to further understand the culture and business environment of each country. Three interesting topics relating to business knowledge were discussed enthusiastically by students from both schools: consumer behavior and market trends, communication in the work environment, and work-life balance. EMBA and ISME students passionately and straightforwardly shared their opinions based on personal and work experiences, culture, and market context of their regions. The discussion provided both sides with knowledge and multidimensional experiences in business management, entrepreneurship, human resource recruitment, time management, and effective work-life balance.

Additionally, students who are interested in studying abroad, transfer programs, graduate programs at BSU, and scholarships in the US were provided with sufficient information and consultation from the BSU delegation.

The EMBA delegation shared their experiences of studying in a graduate program at BSU

The long-term cooperation and close relationship between BSU and NEU provide students from both schools opportunities to gain global experiences, exchange cultural values, explore new collaborations, and market development possibilities for American and Vietnamese businesses. As for ISME students, this is not only a chance for them to enhance their English skills in practical situations but also to develop and practice other soft skills, such as communication, market research, business planning, negotiating, and learning from the experiences of American and Vietnamese business managers.
